Blue Dog Plumbing and Maintenance - TERMS & CONDITIONS.
Please kindly see below our standard terms and conditions.
1. Acceptance of Quote / Invoice By accepting this quote or proceeding with any works, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions. Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
2. Scope of Works All work will be carried out as outlined in the quote or invoice. Any additional work outside the original scope will be discussed with the client and may incur extra charges.
3. Variations & Unexpected Findings Plumbing issues can be hidden or unpredictable. If additional repairs, materials, or labour are required due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., hidden leaks, incorrect previous installations, unsafe conditions, damaged pipework, blockages elsewhere), variation charges will apply.
4. Pricing & Payment Terms All prices include GST unless stated otherwise. Payment is due upon completion of works unless prior arrangements have been made. Late payments may incur fees or interest. Materials remain the property of Blue Dog Plumbing & Maintenance until full payment is received.
5. Call-Out Fees & Hourly Rates Call-out fees, after-hours rates, and labour charges apply as agreed prior to commencement. Additional labour due to access issues or client-related delays may be charged.
6. Cancellations Cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours of a booking may incur a call-out fee.
7. Access to Site The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area. Restricted access (e.g., locked areas, overgrown vegetation, unsafe conditions, or aggressive animals) may cause delays or additional charges.
8. Responsibility for Existing Installations We are not liable for faults, leaks, or failures caused by aged plumbing systems, existing defects, worn fixtures, or poor previous workmanship.
9. Blocked Drains Blocked drains can be a sign of damaged or collapsed pipework. While we take all care when clearing blockages, we cannot guarantee the drain will not block again. CCTV inspections, further repairs, or excavation may be recommended and charged separately.
10. Hot Water Systems We are not responsible for the failure of hot water systems due to age, sediment build-up, pre-existing installation issues, or manufacturer defects. Warranty claims follow manufacturer terms.
11. Excavation Works When digging or excavating, we take reasonable care but are not liable for damage to underground services that are undisclosed, incorrectly marked, or not visible at the time of work. Restoration of landscaping, turf, gardens, soil levels, pathways, driveways, or concrete is not included unless specifically stated in the quote. We are not professional landscapers, concreters, gardeners, or restoration specialists. Any reinstatement we complete is done to the best of our ability and should be considered basic only. Once reinstatement is completed, we will not return to make further adjustments if the client is not satisfied with the aesthetic result.
12. Warranty Workmanship warranty: 12 months from completion. Materials warranty: As per manufacturer guidelines. Warranty excludes misuse, neglect, unauthorised repairs, or issues caused by existing systems.
13. Client Responsibilities The client must provide accurate information about the issue, ensure someone is available on-site for access/directions, and obtain required approvals from body corporate, landlords, or property managers where applicable.
14. Environmental Conditions Delays caused by weather, flooding, unsafe conditions, or other external factors are outside our control. Works may be postponed if conditions are unsafe.
15. Liability We are not liable for loss, damage, or costs resulting from existing faults, age-related failures, structural defects, hidden plumbing issues, third-party interference, or unpredictable system failures. We are not responsible for any damage to property caused by the equipment we use during the completion of works and will not be held liable for repair, restoration, or compensation relating to this. Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by Queensland law.
16. After-Hours & Emergency Work After-hours services may attract higher rates. These will be communicated prior to attendance wherever possible.
17. Ownership of Removed Materials All removed parts, components, or materials become the property of Blue Dog Plumbing & Maintenance unless otherwise agreed.
18. Photos & Documentation We may take photos and/or videos of works completed for job records, reporting, quoting, and staff training. We may also use this footage on our website and social media platforms for business promotion. If the client does not consent to this, they must inform us before works commence. By accepting the quote or engaging our services, the client acknowledges and accepts this condition. We take care to avoid capturing personal belongings or sensitive items, however if such items appear incidentally in the background, we are not responsible or liable for this.
19. Privacy Client information is used only for communication, scheduling, invoicing, and internal records. We do not share personal information with third parties except as required by law.
20. Acceptance By engaging Blue Dog Plumbing & Maintenance or accepting any quote or invoice, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
